New Delhi: Samit, son of legendary Indian batter and coach Rahul Dravid, grabbed the spotlight in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament match with a massive six. Samit, who’s often in the news these days after getting roped in by the by the Mysuru Warriors in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament last month, looks on course to become a promising batter.
The young batter made his debut for the side earlier this week but did not have a desired start, after getting dismissed on single-digit scores in the first two games. But the son of legendary Indian cricketer did manage to entertain the crowd with a towering six that crossed the boundary rope in style during the match against Bengaluru Blasters.
Batting at number four, Samit did not have the best of the performance, contributing just seven runs to his team’s total. The match was disrupted by rain, and Samit’s team eventually lost by four wickets. However, the maximum from Samit went viral on social media platform X during the match.

Samit captured attention with his performances in the last season in the Cooch Behar Trophy 2023-24. Aa middle-order batter, he contributed immensely to Karnataka’s title-winning campaign, amassing 362 runs across eight matches. He showcased his best against Jammu and Kashmir with a special knock of 98 runs, a display of his best batting prowess.
Additionally, Samit’s all-round capabilities were on full display as he made key contributions with the ball, claiming 16 wickets in the tournament, including a crucial two-wicket haul in the final against Mumbai.
