New Delhi: The group stage of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season concluded on Sunday, February 2 with the completion of the final round. Mumbai, Saurashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and Haryana confirmed their respective slots in the knockout stage in this round itself.
Mumbai made a last-minute entry with a humungous win by an innings and 456 runs to earn a bonus point. The other thing that worked in Mumbai’s favour was Jammu and Kashmir thumped Baroda by 182 runs in their last group game as both J & K and Mumbai became the two teams from Group A to advance to the knockout rounds of Ranji.
Saurashtra also won two back-to-back matches to turnaround the campaign after managing to pick just one point in the first two rounds. The Jaydev Unadkat-led side trounced Assam by an innings and 144 runs just after breezing past Delhi in the previous match by 10 wickets. The two bonus points helped them to top the Group D after Tamil Nadu lost to Jharkhand in their last fixture. Saurashtra and Tamil Nadu are the two teams from this group to make it through to the Ranji knockouts.
Kerala and Haryana are two teams from Group C to confirm their berths in the last 8 stage while Vidarbha and Gujarat had already made it there in the previous round. The likes of Vidarbha, Saurashtra, and Haryana will get the benefit of playing on their home turf in their respective quarterfinals match.

Quarterfinal 1 – Jammu & Kashmir vs Kerala, Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune
Quarterfinal 2 – Vidarbha vs Tamil Nadu, Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur
Quarterfinal 3 – Haryana vs Mumbai, Chaudhry Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Lahli
Quarterfinal 4 – Saurashtra vs Gujarat, Niranjan Shah Stadium, Rajkot
All the quarterfinal matches will take place from February 8 to 12 at the respective aforementioned venues.
