Ratan Tata admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai

Mumbai: Noted industrialist and former Chairman of Tata Sons, Ratan Naval Tata was is admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital early Monday.

Reports said that the noted industrialist was rushed to to Breach Candy Hospital between 12.30 and 1.00 am in a critical condition. It is being reported that Ratan Tata was rushed to the emergency ward after his blood pressure drastically dipped.

Ratan Tata is credited to take Tata Group to new heights and make it a renown brand across the globe. Ratan Tata was born on 28 December 1937 in ‘Bombay’. He is the great-grandson of Tata Group founder Jamshedji Tata. He held the chairman post of Tata Sons from 1990 to 2012 and interim chairman from October 2016 to February 2017. The industrialist and philanthropist is the head of the charitable trusts of the Tata group.

Rata Tata has been a towering personality and his works towards philanthropy and corporate social responsibility earned him countless honors. He is a recipient of India’s two highest civilian awards – Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan.
