New Delhi: One of the biggest names in the pool, Team India star Rishabh Pant is expected to trigger a nodding war between the franchises at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction on Sunday, November 24. Pant entered the auction after parting ways with Delhi Capitals (DC) and many believe he can turn out to be the most expensive buy at the IPL 2025 auction.
The swashbuckling wicket-keeper batter made his IPL debut in 2016 and has only played for DC in his career so far. However, the chances are high that he might end up with a new team in the upcoming auction. While Pant’s IPL numbers are not the best, he is an India regular, a potential captaincy candidate and a quality wicket-keeper batter with an ‘X-factor’ about his game.

Under head coach Ricky Ponting PBKS will be aiming to build a strong squad from scratch and might decide to go after Pant, who can be an ideal captaincy candidate.

2) Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) might be another team that can go all out for Rishabh Pant at the IPL 2025 mega auction. RCB have a healthy purse of Rs 83 crore and will be looking to go after their targets. They will be on the lookout for an Indian wicket-keeper batter to replace retired Dinesh Karthik and might go after Pant.

Pant can be an ideal choice for them given they already have their opening combination sorted with Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan in their ranks.
