New Delhi: After the culmination of the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh, India will host New Zealand for a three-match Test series in the month of October. The first Test match is scheduled to start on October 16 in Bengaluru, with the remaining two matches to take place in Pune and Mumbai.
Ahead of the series, Indian team members who are not a part of the T20I setup and will feature in the Test series against Kiwis, are preparing hard for their upcoming assignment. The first match will kick off at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium next Wednesday and Team India would be keen on coming out with flying colours in the test as they await a tougher Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in November. Rohit’s form has been crucial for the Indian team this calendar year. Rohit has been fantastic for India in the ODIs and T20Is this year but the Hitman of Indian cricket called it quits from the shortest format after India won the T20 World Cup 2024 title.
Meanwhile, the skipper is continuing his journey in both the ODIs and Test matches but has not been able to make much mark in the longest format of the game. He will be keen on proving his mettle in Test in the upcoming series’.
Rohit Sharma, who was last seen in the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh last month, will next be seen in the Test series against New Zealand in October. Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
