New Delhi: AS Roma have now sacked Ivan Juric after his side’s 3-2 loss to Bologna at Stadio Olimpico, marking the second managerial change for the Giallorossi this season. Juric took charge in September and was their third permanent manager in just eight months. He replaced club’s legend, Danielle De Rossi who stepped in after Jose Mourinho’s departure in January and unfortunately failed to reverse the team’s fortune.
Roma’s current form has been disappointing with four defeats in their last five fixtures. This recent loss is more than Roma had in their prior 13 Serie A games where they recorded four wins, six draws, and three defeats. Since the start of matchday eight only Como has accumulated fewer points than Roma’s three. Now positioned 12th in the standings, this represents their joint-worst season start in the last 20 years.
The club owners The Friedkin Group expressed gratitude towards Juric saying, “We would like to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work these past weeks.” They further added that he handled the difficult environment with utmost professionalism and for that, they are grateful to him. The search for the new head coach has already begun and the announcement is expected in the coming days.

Next Manager…
Reports indicate that former Italy and Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is the leading candidate to take over as Roma’s next manager. Mancini, who parted ways with Saudi Arabia’s national team earlier this month, is now poised to take the reins at the Italian club.

However, Mancini’s potential appointment raises some concerns due to his history with Roma’s city rivals, Lazio, both as a player and manager. If the club decides against him, other notable candidates for the position include Frank Lampard and Paulo Sousa.
What next for Roma?
Roma faces a challenging set of fixtures after the international break, starting with a match against Napoli on November 25. They will then travel to Tottenham Hotspur for a UEFA Europa League fixture, followed by a home game against high-flying Atalanta in the league. The team needs a manager who can rejuvenate the club and restore them to top standings.
Roma owners The Friedkin Group are currently in talks to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s controlling 94% stake in Everton. This prospective acquisition could bring notable impacts for both clubs.
