New Delhi: Ruben Amorim is all set to become the next manager of Manchester United as Sporting Lisbon have confirmed that they are set to receive a €10m release clause for their current manager. It could be just in time for the Portuguese manager to take charge of the club before their game against Chelsea in the Premier League.
The 39-year-old has already confirmed his wish to pursue his managerial career in the theatre of dreams after the top management in United’s hierarchy agreed to his appointment. Amorim will replace Erik ten Hag, who was at the helm of the job at Old Trafford for two and a half years.

Manchester United haven’t had a good season so far in the Premier League, with just three wins from nine games and are currently placed 14th in the points table. Last season, they finished eighth in the top tier of English football, which is the lowest finish for United in their Premier League history. They have qualified for the Europa Cup this season, having won the FA Cup finals against city rivals Manchester City.
United are reportedly sending a three-person delegation to Lisbon to discuss the deal with the Portuguese club further. However, during the summer, they were able to retain Amorim after both Liverpool and West Ham showed interest in the former Braga manager. However, they are now set to lose their manager of four years and have reportedly shown interest in Joao Pereira, who had previously won the league at Leoes in 2021 alongside Amorim, as their next manager.
A day after Erik ten Hag termination, Manchester United have almost made final agreement for Ruben Amorim succession at Old Trafford. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
