Russian Nationals Sing Krishna Bhajan as They Welcome PM Modi in Kazan Ahead of BRICS Summit

Kazan: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to participate in the 16th BRICS Summit in Russia’s Kazan, he was welcomed by an arousing devotional welcome by locals singing a Krishna Bhajan for him.

He arrived at a Hotel in Kazan for the BRICS Summit, where he was received by Russian citizens in a heartwarming display of cultural exchange.

The bhajan is a devotional song dedicated to Lord Krishna, captivating attendees, and highlighting the shared appreciation for spirituality and cultural heritage between the two nations.

Furthermore, PM Modi expressed his gratitude by acknowledging the significance of such gestures in fostering international relations.

The Prime Minister on Tuesday arrived here to attend the 16th BRICS Summit, where he is likely to hold bilateral meetings, including with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“Landed in Kazan for the BRICS Summit. This is an important Summit, and the discussions here will contribute to a better planet,” Modi posted on X after landing here.

“PM @narendramodi lands in the heritage city of Kazan, Russia. On arrival, the PM was warmly received by the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov,” Ministry of External Affairs posted on X.

Being hosted by Russia, the summit is being seen as an attempt by non-Western powers to project their clout amid the conflict in Ukraine and the escalating situation in West Asia.
