New Delhi: Young Sarfaraz Khan turned out to be the crisis man for India as he slammed his maiden Test century on Day 4 of the ongoing 1st Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru. Sarfaraz, who was dismissed on a duck in the first innings, bounced back strongly with a magnificent ton to showcase his grit and class in India’s second innings of the Test match.
After a horrific first innings display where they were bundled out for a paltry 46 runs, India fought back exceptionally well in their second innings, thanks to Sarfaraz’s heroics in Bengaluru. Promoted to bat at no.4 in the absence of Shubman Gill, Sarfaraz made the most of the opportunity by standing tall under pressure against the quality New Zealand bowling attack.
A moment Sarfaraz Khan will remember forever! ☺️
He is jubilant, Rishabh Pant applauds & the dressing room on its feet! 👏 👏
