New Delhi: State Bank of India’s 400 days (Amrit Kalash) special fixed deposit scheme’s last date is September 30, 2024. The SBI is offering 7.10 per cent to general citizens, while senior citizens are entitled to get 7.60% interest rate. The public sector bank launched the scheme on April 12, 2023.

SBI fixed deposit interest rate for 1 year
SBI fixed deposit interest rate for 1 year is 6.80 per cent for general citizens, while the senior citizens get 7.30 per cent. Depositors get 7 per cent for opening fixed deposit of tenure 2 years to less than 3 years.

SBI fixed deposit scheme for 5 years
On tax saver 5 year FDs, account holders get 6.50% interest. While, SBI fixed deposit scheme for 5 years carry a rate of interst of 7.5 per cent for senior citizens. Account holders get the option to open SBI tax saver 5 year FD for a tenure of 5 years to up to 10 years.
SBI fixed deposit interest rate for senior citizens
On SBI tax saving FD of five years to less than 10 years, senior citizens get an additional interest rate of 1 per cent. Currently, senior citizens get an additional of 1 per cent with the state-owned bank only on this particular term deposit. Rest, on all other time deposits, elderly get 0.50% additional rate. This is because SBI has been giving 1 per cent additional rate to senior citizens under a special fixed deposit scheme launched exclusively for the elderly. It is “SBI We-care” deposit scheme. But this scheme is only available for a limited time period.
