Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh announced on Wednesday that an Indian astronaut is expected to travel to the International Space Station by April next year as part of a collaborative effort between NASA and ISRO. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi is set to lay the foundation stone for an Electric Vehicle (EV) testing facility at the National Test House (NTH) in Bengaluru on Thursday. Kerala police have directed Google to remove apps from its Play Store that are promoting fake lotteries falsely claiming to be associated with the state’s official lottery. A similar notice was issued to Meta, requesting the removal of advertisements for these fake lotteries from its platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, according to a release from the State Police Media Centre (SPMC) on Wednesday. This action followed cyber patrol investigations that uncovered 60 fraudulent lottery apps, 25 fake Facebook profiles, and 20 websites linked to the scam. The SPMC stated that severe legal measures will be taken against those responsible for the fraud.
