New Delhi: Italian club AS Roma are in crisis right now having already gone through three managers in this calendar year and are already on the lookout for their fourth. Jose Mourinho was sacked from the role by the Friedkin Group in January before club legend Daniele De Rossi was brought in to steady the ship. The Italian was rewarded for his good work with a four year deal in June but was sacked less than three months into his new deal.
De Rossi was then replaced by former Torino manager Ivan Juric, one of the most unwelcome appointments in the club’s history, and even he lasted less than three months. Now the clubs are on the verge of appointing a Premier League winning manager who knows the club well. They’re currently in talks with former Leicester City and Cagliari manager Claudio Ranieri to return to the Giallorossi.

Ranieri was most recently the manager of Cagliari and left the club at the end of last season after guiding them to safety. The 73-year-old had announced his retirement from management but now is seemingly ready to come out of said retirement to take charge of Roma for the third time in his career. The Athletic reports that Ranieri would be appointed on an interim role if a deal is to be agreed between the two parties.
This would be his second interim spell at Roma after serving in a similar capacity in 2019, following the dismissal of Eusebio Di Francesco. Ranieri first took charge of the capital club back in 2009 and was in charge till 2011. He guided the club to a second placed finish in the Serie A in the 2009/10 season and no one has since managed to better this result ever since.
AS Roma are looking to appoint their fourth manager of 2024 and they are seemingly on the cusp of announcing a Premier League winning manager as their replacement to Ivan Juric. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
