Resuming their first innings on 351/5 on Day 3, West Indies lost early wickets as Jason Holder was dismissed by Chris Woakes on 27 before Atkinson removed Kevin Sinclair cheaply on just 4 runs. Alzarri Joseph was dismissed by Woakes after scoring 10 runs before the pacer dismissed Jayden Seales on a duck leaving West Indies on 386/9.

Joseph combined with Da Silva to lead West Indies’ resistance as the pair showed incredible composure en route to their 71-run stand for the last wicket. The 41-run lead put West Indies in a commanding position in the Test match. However, a lot rests on the shoulders of the visitors bowlers, who will have to bowl out England as quickly as possible.
