New Delhi: In a shocking video, the father of Sanju Samsom, the Indian international cricketer, has accused legendary cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni and Rahul Dravid for wasting 10 years of his son’s career by not giving him regular chances at the international level.
Samson, who is currently in South Africa playing for India in the four-match T20I series, must have thought he finally cemented his place in the T20I squad after scoring a century in the opening game. But back-to-back ducks in the second and third T20Is and his father’s comments might prove costly for the Kerala batter.
In an explosive interaction that is going viral on the internet, Sanju’s father, Samson Vishwanath, slammed the Indian team leadership and management for ‘ruining’ his son’s cricket career.
In the interview that was conducted by Malayali news station MediaOne, Samson’s father tore into the icons by naming them as the culprits for destroying Samson’s career.

Despite making his international debut nine years ago in 2015, Samson has failed to cement his spot in the national side due to a mixture of missed opportunities and misfortune in selection. The Kerala batter has always been regarded as a supremely talented batter, but his career hasn’t really taken off due to inconsistency.
While it can be argued the chances have been limited for the talented wicket-keeper batter, the fact that he has been unable to convert them into big successes.
A classic example and most recent example is his performance in the ongoing T20I series in South Africa. After smashing a superb ton in the opener and becoming the first Indian batter to smash successive T20I centuries (after hitting a century in the 3rd T20I vs Bangladesh), Samson was dismissed for back-to-back ducks in the second and third matches of the series.
Despite his setbacks in international cricket, Samson has emerged as one of the best Indian performers in the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the years.
