New Delhi: Shot-putter Kiran Baliyan was provisionally suspended for doping while wrestler Bajrang Punia was not include in the latest National Anti Doping Agency’s list of offenders issued on Wednesday.

But Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Bajrang Punia’s omission raised eyebrows as his name was in NADA’s previous list after he was suspended for the second time on June 23.

That suspension was revoked by anti-disciplinary doping panel, judging that the Wrestling Federation of India didn’t served a “notice of charge” to him.

NADA had suspended Punia on April 23 for failing tp provide his urine sample during selection trials in Sonepat on March 10, followed by suspension from United Wrestling World as well.

On appeal, ADDP revoked the suspension on May 31 untill NADA issued notice of charge. Punia had filed to qualify for Paris Olympic after leading a lenghty protest against former WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is on trial for alleged sexual misconduct.
