New Delhi: Indian speedster Mohammed Siraj lost his temper during the first day of the second Border Gavaskar Trophy Test match at the Adelaide Oval on Friday. He was livid after Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne interrupted him in the middle of a delivery and followed with a repugnant gesture.
The incident happened in the 25th over of the Australian innings. While bowling the fourth ball of the over, Siraj initiated with his run-up and just when the bowler was closer to the non-striker stumps before launching the delivery, Labuschagne pulled off the crease, citing a spectator in the stands was walking while carrying beer snake .
However, Siraj wasn’t pleased with being stopped in the middle of the run-up, and consequently, threw the ball wide of the off stumps to express his frustration. It followed with exchange of few words and both the batter and bowler indicated something to each other with their arm moment.

In the following delivery, Labuschagne hit one past the backward point to guide the ball past the boundary rope for four runs to add salt on the injury of Siraj. The Australia No.3 batter remained unbeaten on 20 at the end of the stumps on Day 1, wielding three boundaries from his willow.
Australia bowled out India for 180
The Indian innings folded up for a measly 180 after opting to bat first. It was Australian left-arm quick Mitchell Starc who dismantled the batting unit, recording the career-best figures of 6 for 48. Indian batter Nitish Kumar Reddy hit 42 to end as the top run-maker for the visitors. In response, Australia finished the day at 86 for 1 after playing 33 overs with Nathan McSweeney (38) and Labuschagne (20).
