New Delhi: Indian pacer Jaydev Unadkat once again found a taker at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction as he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at his base price of Rs 1 crore. Unadkat created history at the mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as he was sold for an incredible 13th time in an IPL auction.
Unadkat holds the record for being sold the most times in an IPL auction as he manages to find a new franchise for himself in nearly every auction that he registers for. His record of being sold 13 times in an IPL auction remains unparalleled as no other player has managed to get sold in more than seven auctions in the history of the tournament.
Unadkat has played for seven franchises in his IPL career so far. He made his IPL debut for the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010 and spent three seasons with the franchise before leaving for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He was then picked up by Delhi Capitals and played for them for two seasons before moving to Rajasthan Royals.
Unadkat played for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022 and was part of the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023. He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 1.60 crore in the IPL 2024 mini auction last year and returned to the franchise once again in the recently concluded IPL 2025 mega auction after being bought on his base price of Rs 1 crore.

Unadkat, who has been a consistent performer in the Indian domestic circuit, has failed to replicate the same in the IPL. Nonetheless, he has always been in demand considering the experience and skills he brings to the table as an Indian left-arm pacer. Unadkat has so far played 105 matches in his IPL career and has 99 wickets to his name at an average of over 32 and an economy rate of 8.98, including two five-wicket hauls.
