New Delhi: After beating Zimbabwe in both the ODI series and T20Is as well, Pakistan would be high on confidence when they lock horns with South Africa in the T20I series. The Men in Green have embarked on a long tour to the Proteas nation where they will play three T20Is, as many ODIs and two Test matches, starting with the first T20I on Tuesday at Kingsmead, Durban.
A lot of criticism is what the Pakistan team faced in this year for their below-par performances against many teams, till the tour to Zimbabwe proved fruitful for them as they registered a 2-1 victory in both ODIs and T20Is. Pakistan would be hoping to repeat the fantastic show they delivered in Zimbabwe, in South Africa as well. This will be the first time since 2019 that Pakistan would be playing an all-format series against the Proteas.
Babar Azam, who was rested for the Zimbabwe tour, is back for the South Africa series and will hopefully be participating in all the three matches against the Proteas at their den. Azam, who’s suffering a lot because of his dipping form, would be hoping to put up a good show and regain his confidence and respect which he has lost as a player. Once considered one of the best players in Pakistan cricket, his repeated failures have irked not only the fans but the management as well.
