Stock to Watch: Vodafone Idea, Gland Pharma, SBI, Tata Motors

New Delhi: The Sensex and Nifty are expected to get off to a positive start on Wednesday, according to indications from the GIFT Nifty. Indian indices continued to perform well with the Nifty hitting a new high during the day’s trade on Tuesday. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 308.37 points or 0.40 per cent to close at a new high of 77,301.14, while the Nifty was up 92.30 points or 0.39 per cent to a record high of 23,557.90.

Vodafone Idea: The telco plans to sell an 18 per cent stake in Indus Towers in a block deal likely to be valued at $1.8 billion.

Tata Motors: Tata Motors Jaguar Land Rover has signed an agreement with Chery Motors for the licensing of its Feelander brand to manufacture and sell EVs in China. The brand will be used by CJLR, a joint venture owned 50:50 by both companies.

Mahindra and Mahindra: The automobile manufacturer entered the list of the world’s top 15 automakers as its market cap surged to $44.2 billion.

Piramal Finance: The non-bank lender’s assets under management crossed the Rs 50,000 crore mark led by a 132 per cent surged in retail loans from March 2022.

Kalpataru Projects International: The company’s promoter sold a 5.3 per cent stake in the entity in a block deal valued at Rs 1,003 crore.

SBI: The country’s largest lender plans to raise Rs 10,000 crore via infrastructure bond and has started discussions to that effect.

PNB Housing Finance: The company aims to garner Rs 10,000 crore via non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis.

Gland Pharma: Fosun Pharma Industrial is likely to offload a 5 per cent stake in the Indian pharma company for approximately $172 million, Bloomberg reported.
