New Delhi: Indian indices closed higher on Tuesday with the Sensex reaching a fresh lifetime high of 90.88 points or 0.11 per cent to 83,079.66 and the Nifty up 34.80 points or 0.14 per cent to 25,418.55. Investors were bullish on potential rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve this week.
Bajaj Housing Finance: The Bajaj Group company’s share price jumped 149 per cent at listing and closed 10 per cent higher at Rs 181.48 apiece on Tuesday.
Biocon: The biotech major secured funding from LIC with the insurance major raising its stake to 5.02 per cent from 4.98 per cent earlier.
EaseMyTrip: The travel booking platform operator said it had acquired a 49 per cent stake in Pflege Home Healthcare and 30 per cent in Rollins International. This marks the beginning of EaseMyTrip’s foray into medical tourism by integrating wellness and healthcare in their travel offerings.
Hikal: The company’s shareholders voted in favour of reappointing Sugandha Hiremath to its board. Hiremath is locked in a feud for family assets with her brother and Bharat Forge promoter Baba Kalyani and sibling Gaurishankar Kalyani.
IHCL: The Tata Group company announced the signing of a resort in Barnala, Punjab, under its Gateway brand offering. The 9-acre property will have 100 villas and rooms.
Infosys: IT major Infosys inked an agreement with British lender Metro Bank which will involve digitising the latter’s operations.
Jupiter Wagons: The company’s unit Jupiter Tatrawagonka Railwheel Factory will expand its output in Odisha to 100,000 forged wheel sets per annum from 20,000 forged wheel sets. The company aims to invest Rs 2,500 crore towards capacity expansion. The facility will become fully functional in 2027.
Mankind Pharma: The company’s board is set to meet this week to consider a fundraising proposal via securities issuance. The company did not mention the tentative fundraising amount.
Ola Electric: The company’s stocks hit the 10 per cent upper circuit limit on Tuesday before closing at Rs 118.10 on the BSE.
REC: The state-owned energy finance company pledged to expand its loan book for renewables to Rs 3 lakh crore by 2030.
SpiceJet: The airline set a Rs 64.79 per share floor price for the sale of securities to QIBs as part of a Rs 3,000 crore fundraising plan.
Torrent Power: The company said that it has secured a 1,500 MW pumped hydro storage project from MSED Maharashtra to procure 1,500 MW/12,000 MWh Energy Storage Capacity.
