New Delhi: Indian indices touched new highs on Thursday led by a rally in commodities stocks and the Nifty Bank Index touching new highs. Investors marked a Rs 6.59 lakh crore rise in wealth on Thursday as the Sensex rose 1,439.55 points to close at 82,962.71. The NSE Nifty on Thursday closed 470.45 points higher at 25,388.90. Both benchmark indices touched new record highs during intra-day trading. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Friday, September 13, 2024:
Adani Enterprises: The group denied a Hindenburg Research report alleging that Swiss authorities had frozen the conglomerate’s accounts with funds worth $310 million.
Adani Power: The Supreme Court restored custody of Coastal Energen to Adani Power and DAIT after they challenged an NCLAT interim order which granted custody of the company to a resolution professional.
Airline stocks: The DGCA suggested stricter norms for regulation if wet-leased jets operated by Indian air carriers.
Bharti Airtel: The company inked an agreement with Sparkle for greater cooperation on Blue-Raman Submarine Cable Systems that are needed to boost intercontinental connectivity between Asia and Europe.
Biocon: The company’s founder and chairman Kiran M Shaw in an interview stated that there were no plans to sell the company, adding that the business had been built to last.
BPCL: The oil marketing company has given its green signal to a joint venture with Sembcorp and GPS Renewables for the development of renewable energy and green hydrogen projects in India. The company also gave its nod to the expansion of two pipelines from Cochin with an investment of Rs 1,138 crore.
Granules India: The company said it was actively addressing observations and resolution of issues flagged by the US drug regulator, the USFDA.
Kalpataru Projects: The company announced that it had secured projects worth Rs 2,7774 crore including an EPC project from the Airports Authority of India.
HG Infra Engineering: The company informed the exchanges that it had received an order worth Rs 716 crore from the Central Railways.
Honasa Consumer: Peak XV Partners, along with 4 other entities sold a 10 per cent stake in Mamaearth parent Honasa Consumer for Rs 1,601 crore via open market transactions.
HPL Electric and Power: The company secured a Rs 143.8 crore order to provide smart meters without sharing more details.
IHCL: The Tata Group hotel company said it had signed two hotels, a Vivanta and a Ginger brand, totalling 300 keys, according to an exchange filing.
Maruti Suzuki: The company launched the S-CNG model of its hatchback Swift on Thursday.
Minda Corp: The company’s board gave its nod to raise funds via Rs 1,000 crore through share issuance and QIPs.
Patanjali Foods: The company’s units may raise $240 million via block deals, CNBCTV18 reported.
SBI Cards: The company’s board will meet on September 18, 2024, to consider a plan of raising Rs 5,000 crore via non-convertible debentures.
Tata Power: The company’s renewable energy unit inked an agreement with Tata Motors to set up 200 fast charging stations.
Thermax: The comoany inked a partnership agreement with Ceres to produce electrolysis cell used to produce green hydrogen.
ZEEL: The comoany has withdrawn its merger with Culver Max and BEPL after settling its dispute with Sony Corp.
