New Delhi: Indian indices closed in green on Thursday with a positive bias as banking stocks dragged Sensex and Nifty to end the day almost flat. While US markets were closed on July 4, 2024, for Independence Day, Asian markets closed in green on Thursday.

Here are stocks that are likely to be in focus today:

HDFC Bank: The country’s largest private lender in its Q1 business update reported a 52.6 per cent jump in gross advance to Rs 24.87 lakh crore for Rs 16.3 lakh crore a year ago, while deposits were up 24.4 per cent to Rs 23.8 lakh crore from Rs 19.13 lakh crore a year ago.

JFL Life Sciences: The company received a $1.66 million order from Manila, Philippines-based Phil Capital Trading Solutions. The company’s market cap stood at Rs
54 crore as of Thursday.

Raymond: The textile to real estate conglomerate’s board abpproved a proposal to hive of its real estate arm in a bid to unlock value for investors. The company eyes potential revenues to the tune of Rs 25,000 crore from its Thane land parcel. The potential value of Raymond’s entire real estate business is valued at RS 32,000 crore.

IDBI Bank: The government-owned lender in its Q1 update shared that total bank deposits rose 13 per cent year-on-year in Q1 FY25. The lender’s net advances were up 17 per cent y-o-y.

Railtel Corp: The railways PSU has secured a Rs 23.96 crore order from Webel Technologies, it said in a regulatory filing.

RVNL: Rail Vikas Nigam inked a memorandum of understanding with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation ensuring its participation in upcoming projects both in India and abroad.

IRCON: The railway PSU secured an order worth Rs 750.82 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam for the design, installation, testing and commissioning of broad gauge ballastless track, the company said in an exchange filing. To be complete in 42 months, the order was won by the IRCON-led consortium comprising Paras Railtech and PCM Strescon Overseas Ventures.

IDFC First Bank: The Life Insurance Corp of India reportedly raised its stake in IDFC First Bank by 0.2 per cent to 2.68 per cent equalling 18.60,34,900 stocks worth Rs 80.63 per share in a private placement offer.

Tata Motors: The automobile manufacturer is likely to gain from the EU’s decision to proceed with planned tariffs on electric vehicle imports from China with effect from July 5, 2024.
