New Delhi: Indian indices are expected to perform better on Friday with it being the last day of the week and on an upbeat investor impulse after the US core inflation data came lower than estimated. All eyes will be on India’s retail inflation data for the month of June due to be released on July 12, 2024, which is expected to cross the 5 per cent mark after a 5-month gap, according to a Reuters poll.

Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Friday, July 12, 2024:

Adani Wilmar: The Adani Group company acquired a 67 per cent stake in Omkar Chemical Industries For Rs 56.25 crore capable of 20,000 million tonnes of annual output in chemicals and compounds.

Oriental Rail Infra: The comoany reported that its arm Oriental Foundry had received a Rs 432 crore order from the Indian Railways entailing the production and delivery of 1,200 BVCM-C Wagons.

RVNL: Rail Vikas Nigam secured a Rs 138.4 crore order from Central Railways for the modification of overhead equipment to improve the electric traction system in the Amla-Nagpur section of Central Railways’ Nagpur division.

Auto stocks: The UP government is reportedly likely to clarify its decision on a hybrid car road tax waiver. Clarity is pounding on the car price range which will be eligible for the tax waiver.

TCS: The IT giant reported better-than-expected Q1 earnings at Rs 12,040 crore and a rise in hiring after three straight quarters of attrition.

HCL Tech: After TCS’ better than expected performance, all eyes will, be on HCL Tech which will declare its earnings on July 12, 2024. The IT major is expected to deliver a 6 per cent higher net profit-on-year basis in Q1 earnings, according to brokerage estimates.

IREDA: The Railway PSU company witnessed a doubling of foreign investor holdings in June 2024. The company’s market cap hit RS 75,000 crore on Thursday.

Goldiam International: The company reportedly received export orders worth Rs 50 crore to make jewellery studded with lab-grown diamonds taking its order book Rs 150 crore.

Vedanta: The commodities giant refused to comment on reports that it was eyeing a Rs 8,000 crore Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) issue.

Data Patterns: The company received an order from the DRDO for the development of radar signal processor systems.

Indegene: The life sciences company inked a pact with tech giant Microsoft to help companies in the life sciences to scale up the adoption of generative AI.

Infosys: The It giant said it had secured a Delaware Department of Labor contract to upgrade the latter’s legacy systems, according to an exchange filing.

Vodafone Idea: The telco’s board gave its nod for the company to issue preferential shares worth Rs 2,458 crore to Nokia-Ericsson.

Reliance Industries: The Mukesh Ambani-led company’s shares will be in focus after the brokerage Jefferies estimated that a potential IPO of the conglomerate’s telecom arm Jio may be valued at $120 billion.
