Stocks in News today: Tata Power, Bharti Airtel, Federal Bank and more

Mumbai: The share price of Bharti Airtel, Tata Technologies, Federal Bank, SpiceJet, Tata Power, CAMS are likely to be in news on October 29, 2024 for various reasons like quarterly earnings and other events.

Tata Power share price

Tata Power has confirmed that it has acquired a 40 per cent stake in Khorlochhu Hydro Power Limited for Rs 830 crore. “It has today executed the Share Purchase Agreement between the company, existing shareholder of KHPL and KHPL,” Tata Power said in an exchange filing. The hydro power project is based in Bhutan. Tata Power has finalised the deal with Druk Green Power Company to develop the hydro project in Bhutan at an estimated cost of Rs 6,900 crore.

Bharti Airtel share price

Bharti Airtel declared its Q2 Results 2024-25 on October 28, 2024. The telecom major announced a 168 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 3,593 crore for the July-September quarter. Airtel recorded quarterly revenues of Rs 41,473 crore, 12 per cent higher than the year-ago period. Its mobile ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) went up to Rs 233 in as against Rs 203 in the second quarter of 2023-24. The company mentioned that the mobile data consumption increased 22.6 per cent year-on-year.

Bharti Airtel announced that Gopal Vittal will be elevated to the role of Executive Vice Chairman on January 1, 2026. Vittal has been associated with Airtel for the last 12 years as Managing Director and CEO.

CAMS share price

In its second quarter results of 2024-25, CAMS registered a 45 per cent rise in profit after tax to Rs 122.5 crore. The company which acts as a registrar and transfer agent for mutual funds ha registered profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 84.51 crore in the same period of previous financial year. The company in its statement mentioned that its revenues from operations increased 33 per cent to Rs 365.17 in Q2 of FY25 from Rs 275 crore in the year-ago period.

“Our overall assets under service touched a lifetime high of Rs 45 lakh crore, with the quarter recording the highest ever asset accretion. Strong retail participation in equity assets via SIPs and NFOs catapulted our equity net-sales to touch nearly Rs 1 lakh crore during the second quarter and record a staggering 59 per cent y-o-y growth in equity asset base,” the company’s CEO Anuj Kumar said.

Federal Bank share price

Federal Bank reported an 11 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 1,057 crore in the second quarter of 2024-25 as against a net profit of Rs 954 crore in the year-ago period. In a regulatory filing, the private lender;s total income surged to Rs 7,541 crore during the quarter under review. It was Rs 6,186 crore in the Q2 of 2023-24. The bank reported an interest income of Rs 6,577 crore while the Net interest income (NII) went up by 15 per cent to Rs 2,367 crore as against Rs 2,056 crore in July-September quarter a year ago. The gross non-performing assets (NPAs) declined to 2.09 per cent of the gross loans by the end of September 2024 from 2.26 per cent a year ago.

SpiceJet share price

SpiceJet has launched 32 new flights for the winter season. The airline informed that the flights have started operations from october 28, 2024. The four new flights are from Mumbai to Patna, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Goa. The winter schedule is from October 27, 2024 till March 29, 2025.

Tata Technologies share price

In the first quarter ended September 30, 2024, Tata Technologies reported a 1.85 per cent decline in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 157.41 crore. In a regulatory filing, the Tata Group company mentioned that it posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 160.38 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations in the quarter was recorded at Rs 1,296.45 crore as against Rs 1,269.17 crore in second quarter of 2023-24. The total expenses were marginally higher at Rs 1,095.40 crore as compared to Rs 1,085.74 crore in the same period last fiscal.
