Stocks in News today: Vodafone Idea, Adani Wilmar, ITI, Ease My Trip, RVNL

Kolkata: On December 30 at the end of the day’s trade, Sensex settled at 78,248.13 points, registering a decline of 450.94 points (or 0.57%). On the other hand, Nifty went down 168.50 points (or 0.71%) to settle at 23,644.90. Most sectoral indices ended the day in the red. Top gainers were Adani Enterprises, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies and IndusInd Bank. Top losers were Hindalco, Tata Motors, Trent and BEL.

Vodafone Idea: On Monday (December 30) intraday trade, Vodafone Idea shares jumped 7% and touched Rs 8 on BSE in Monday’s intraday trade. The surge in prices followed after Vodafone Idea said that DoT waived the requirement to submit financial bank guarantees for spectrum acquired in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2021. On December 31, the share dipped Rs 0.50 and was trading at Rs 7.72 in early morning.

Adani Wilmar: The price of Adani Wilmar shares dipped Rs 23.55 (or 7.16%) in early trade of December 31 and stood at Rs 305.20. On Monday, the Adani group announced its exit from the FMCG joint venture Adani Wilmar. It will sell its entire stake to the Singaporean partner and open market for more than $2 billion. Adani Enterprises held 43.94% stake in Adani Wilmar which made Fortune brand cooking oil and wheat flour.

ITI: Even amidst broad selling pressure in the initial morning trade when Sensex and Nifty dipped on December 31, 2024, ITI shares surged Rs 23.25 (or 6.13%) to reach Rs 402.45. Analysts pointed out that the company is likely to announce strong quarterly results. Its working capital requirements too have remarkably gone down from 196 days to 15.1 days.

Easy Trip Planners: On December 31, the shares of Easy Trip Planners declined Rs 1.61 (or 9.45%) to touch Rs 15.43. Analysts pointed out it could be a result of the company’s co-founder Nishant Pitti planning to sell his 14.21% stake in the company in a block deal. The transaction could be valued at Rs 780 crore claimed a report.

RVNL: Shares of PSU Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) are likely to be in the focus of investors and market analysts on Tuesday (December 31) after the company announced that it has come out as the lowest bidder for a Rs 137.16 crore project. It concerns the Bhusaval-Khandwa section of the Central Railway. It is to be completed in 12 months. RVNL shares have risen 125% in the past one year. But in the last 6 months it dipped by 1.8% in the last 6 months.
