Stocks to Watch Today: Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Vedanta, Raymond

New Delhi: The Sensex and Nifty closed lower on Friday after a week of strong returns. Indian indices are likely to remain uncertain as the month nears its close in the week of June 26, 2024. All eyes will be on stocks of Adani group, Raymond Group and banks. US indices closed lower on Friday, indicating a mixed opening for Indian indices on Monday. Both Brent crude and gold prices closed lower on Friday, indicating a cooldown in investor wariness regarding market risks.

Adani Cements: US Brokerage Jefferies said Adani Group may move to consolidate its cement brands, Ambuja, ACC and Oenna Cements over the medium term.

Adani Ports: Adani Ports and SEZ will enter the 30-share BSE Sensex on Monday, June 24, 2024, replacing Azim Premji founded Wipro as part of the exchange’s bi-annual rejig on the benchmark index.

Canara Bank: The state-owned lender’s social media account was compromised and the bank said it was investigating the matter.

Bank of Baroda: The company said it plans to double its tech team to 3,000 staffers by7 the end of FY26.

ONGC: The oil major has announced plans for partners to utilise the Deen Dayal gas field in Bay of Bengal’s KG Basin.

Raymond Group: The company has received a nod from the NCLT for the group’s demerger of its lifestyle business. NCLT has also allowed the group to merge its consumer trading business.

Vedanta: The commodities giant strongly denied media reports of a potential stake sale to raise funds for repayment of debt.

Fertiliser stocks: GST Council’s request for rate rationalization of fertilisers to the group of ministers is likely to have a bearing on fertiliser stocks.

Railway stocks: All eyes will be on Indian Railways’ PSU stocks  after the GST Council decided to remove GST charged on platform tickets as well as services offered within the railway station premises.
