New Delhi: Over the years, the evolution of technology has made train journeys in India more seamless for passengers. Now, the Ministry of Railways has launched the ‘SwaRail’ SuperApp which will offer the common people comprehensive railway services. The app is currently in the beta testing phase and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The app will increase the user experience by bringing together several railway services in a single platform, doing away with the need to use multiple apps for railway services in India.

An app to cater to the needs of the users

The Centre for Railway Information Systems has developed the SuperApp and it has integrated all public apps of the Indian Railways on a single platform. The app will help the users in multiple ways including Reserved Ticket Bookings, Unreserved Ticket and Platform Ticket Bookings, Train and PNR Status Enquiries, Rail Madad for Complaint Management, Parcel and Freight Enquiries, and Food Orders on Trains. The app will be released for public use soon.

What are the features of the SwaRail SuperApp?

One credential for all services: By using a single set of credentials, a person can access all the services of the Indian Railways and can use the same credentials across other Indian Railways apps like UTS Mobile App, IRCTC RailConnect, etc.

Every on one platform: At present, there are several apps to access the services of the Indian Railways like reserved and unreserved booking, to check the movement of trains and schedules. One can access these services in a single app now.

All services integrated: The integration of the services will ensure deliverance of comprehensive information from several sources in a unified manner. Now, PNR enquiry will also display other information about the train.

Easy sign-up: The users can sign-up on the SuperApp using their existing UTS App or RailConnect credentials. The sign-up process is very simple and it has made the app easy to access.

Login is easy: To enhance user experience, the app will have multiple login options. Once logged in, one can access the app using either biometric authentication or an m-PIN.

How to get started?

First you have to download the app.Those who are already using RailConnect or UTS Mobile App can use their credentials can log in directly. If the user is new, then he or she can register by entering minimal data.

After logging in, every user will get an R-Wallet for ticket bookings. Existing R-Wallets from the UTS are automatically linked. The SwaRail SuperApp provides a more efficient way to access the services of the Indian Railways.

 The Indian Railways’ new SwaRail SuperApp consolidates various railway services into one platform, eliminating the need for multiple apps.
