What is Odisha Subhadra Yojana: Eligibility, documents needed and how to apply

New Delhi: The Odisha government has announced the Subahdra Yojana for women in the 21-60 year age group with an outlay of 79.14 lakh which will be launched on September 17, 2024. The scheme entails payouts of RS 10,000 per annum in instalments. The scheme was announced during the state Budget with a Rs 10,000 crore outlay.

Named after the goddess Subhadra, the sister of Lord Jagannath of Puri, the scheme entails benefits for women from 65.25 lakh families who will receive Rs 10,000 in 2 instalments of Rs 5,000 each into Aadhaar-enabled accounts.

How to apply for Odisha Subhadra Yojana

The Odisha government’s Subhadra Yojana can apply for the same on the Subhadra portal. The process can be validated with self-certification also via the Subhara Yojana mobile app. The scheme will also reward those beneficiaries who use online transactions with an additional sum of Rs 500. This will be capped at 100 women per village with an overall limit of Rs 35 crore. The Odisha Computer Application Centre will prepare a list of benefits based on available data.

Who is not eligible for Odisha Subhadra Yojana

The Odisha government’s Subhadra Yojana will exclude women who are:

Central government employees
State government employees
Pensioners
4-wheeler owners
Have over 5 acre in landholdings
Received an allowance or a scholarship worth Rs 12,000 per annum
Kalia Yojana beneficiaries
National old age pension, disability pension, widow pension beneficiaries
