Team India practices at Wankhede stadium ahead of Test series finale vs New Zealand

New Delhi: For the sake of pride, India will lock horns with New Zealand in the third and final Test match of the series at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Friday. India faced humiliation in Test cricket at home in 12 years after they went down in the second Test match at Pune, losing the series 0-2. The hosts had earlier lost the first Test as well in Bengaluru.

New Zealand proved out to be the better team in the last Test match and managed to do the unthinkable which many teams have not done in years. Beating India in the longest format of the game at their den is quite difficult but the Kiwis proved out to be remarkable enough to beating the dominant Indians. Meanwhile, for the final Test match in Mumbai, Team started practicing at the Wankhede stadium.

Rohit, Kohli, Ashwin spotted

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma, star player Virat Kohli and ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin were spotted on the field during at practice session at the Mumbai stadium on Wednesday. Along with them, youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal was spotted with Kohli, having some time off with his senior Team India member.

Meanwhile, the Indian team was also spotted is a huddle where they were seen being guided by head coach Gautam Gambhir and skipper Rohit Sharma. According to multiple reports, captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir have urged the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to summon at least 35 net bowlers during team’s practice session at the iconic Wankhede.
