Hyderabad: Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, Eenadu Group Chairman and media mogul, will be cremated on June 9 with full state honors, Telangana state government announced.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has issued orders through Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari to Rangareddy Collector and Cyberabad Commissioner to supervise the arrangements, Tv9 telugu reported.
In a statement on his passing away, CM Reddy said, “Ramoji Rao added credibility to Telugu journalism, added value to Telugu industrial sector.”

A host of politicians from across India have conveyed condolences on the passing away of Ramoji Rao.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a message on social media platform X wrote that he was a ‘visionary who revolutionised Indian media.’ He further wrote, “His rich contributions have left an indelible mark on journalism and the world of films. Through his noteworthy efforts, he set new standards for innovation and excellence in the media and entertainment world.

Andhra Pradesh CM-elect Nara Chandrababu Naidu will go directly to Hyderabad from Delhi to pay tribute to his mortal remains.

TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh said, “Ramoji Rao’s death is a huge loss for Telugu society. He was a committed life-long devotee of Janahita himself and worked with the spirit of movement for the preservation of democracy.”

BRS chief KCR condoled the death of Ramoji Rao as he remembered his services as a businessman in many fields and as a founder of media companies. KCR expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.

In a statement on social media platform X, he said, “Visionaries like Sri Ramoji Rao are one in a million. A media tycoon and a giant of Indian cinema, his absence is irreparable. The news that he is no longer with us is very sad.
I will never forget the memories when I was introduced to the Telugu film industry with the film ‘Ninnu Chhadalani’. May his soul rest in peace and convey my deepest condolences to his family.”
