The court remarked, “Judges come and go. This is not for the benefit of judges but for the national capital territory of Delhi.” A bench comprising Justices AS Oka and Augustine George Masih ordered the principal secretary of the forest department to attend a virtual hearing on October 18 and instructed him to submit a personal affidavit by October 15, explaining why information regarding steps taken and proposed actions to enhance Delhi’s green cover had not been provided.
