In a controversial move, former President Donald Trump has called for President Joe Biden to take a drug test ahead of the upcoming presidential debate on Thursday, June 27. Trump voiced his demand on Truth Social, predicting that Biden would be “jacked up” on stage.
“DRUG TEST FOR CROOKED JOE BIDEN??? I WOULD, ALSO, IMMEDIATELY AGREE TO ONE!!!” Trump wrote on the social media platform. This demand comes just days before the two political figures are set to debate in Atlanta, Georgia.

Trump and his allies have frequently suggested that Biden might be medicated during significant public appearances. One Trump ally told the New York Post, “There is no universe in which [Biden’s] not being medicated before the debate. If he wants to dispel that, he should offer to take a drug test, but we all know he won’t do that.”
Campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt echoed this sentiment, stating, “I think it’s a fair question worth asking. If Biden wants to prove otherwise, why didn’t he commit to a drug test?”
This is not the first time Trump has made such a claim. In May, he told Republicans at a GOP dinner in Minnesota that he would “demand a drug test” before the debate, alleging that Biden was “as high as a kite” during his State of the Union address in March.
At a recent rally in Philadelphia, Trump suggested that Biden might receive a pharmacological boost before the debate. Referring to Biden’s stay at Camp David, Trump told supporters, “Right now, Crooked Joe has gone to a log cabin to ‘study’. He’s sleeping now, because they want to get him good and strong. So a little before debate time, he gets a shot in the ass. He’ll come out all jacked up, right?”

In response, Biden’s campaign co-chair, Mitch Landrieu, dismissed Trump’s comments as mere “trash talk.” Landrieu remarked, “Trump’s going to talk trash like that all the time because that’s what he does. The other day, you may remember, he was trying to question our president’s mental acuity, and he could not remember the name of his own doctor, so tell President Trump to bring whatever he’s got — President Biden will be standing there ready for him.”
