Trump Picks Hindu-American Tulsi to Assist for Upcoming Prez Debate Against Harris

Washington: Former President and Republican Nominee Donald Trump has picked up Tulsi Gabbard, a Hindu-American and former congresswoman, to assist with his preparations for the upcoming presidential debate against Vice President Kamala Harris, according to a New York Times report citing two sources familiar with Trump’s schedule.

Trump and Harris are scheduled to debate on ABC News in Philadelphia on September 10th as part of the ongoing presidential campaign for upcoming polls.

Gabbard’s selection as Trump’s debate coach is due to her memorable performance against Harris in the 2019 Democratic presidential primary debate during her days in Democratic Party.

NYT reported that Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed about Tulsi’s presence for helping Trump prepare against Kamala Harris. Karoline also mentioned that Trump does not need any preparation per se but will meet the advisors and prominent speakers and leaders like Tulsi Gabbard.

Why Did Trump Pick Tulsi?

Tulsi Gabbard, a former congresswoman and was previosly associated with Democratic party being a popular face in the party, faced Harris during the 2019 primary debates. Her previous experience as a Democrat and her familiarity with Harris might offer Trump unique insights and perspectives for the debate.
