TV9 Festival of India 2024: Day 3 witnesses Maha Aarti and festive celebrations

New Delhi: The TV9 Festival of India is back, once again bringing a vibrant celebration of culture, tradition, and unity. On its third day, the event is being held at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, set against the iconic backdrop of India Gate. With over 250 colourful stalls, international exhibitions, delectable food options, and live music, the festival perfectly showcases India’s rich cultural heritage while blending tradition with a touch of modernity. This year’s festival coincides with the celebrations of Durga Puja, and on the third day, the festival highlighted the grandeur of Maha Ashtami. The day was marked by the celebration of Sandhi Puja, one of the most significant rituals of Maha Ashtami. TV9 Network’s MD and CEO Barun Das, along with News Director Hemant Sharma, performed the Sandhi Puja and Bhog Aarti, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the event. The festivities have drawn several high-profile guests from the world of art, culture, and politics.

In keeping with tradition, the TV9 Festival of India, organised to celebrate Durga Puja, has become an eagerly awaited annual event. Now in full swing, Friday marked the third day of this five-day long celebration, with notable figures from various fields gracing the event. Among the key political figures attending the festival were Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw (Information and Broadcasting and Railways), Hardeep Singh Puri (Petroleum and Natural Gas), and Piyush Goyal (Commerce), alongside BJP leader Tarun Chugh. Their presence underscored the festival’s importance as a cultural gathering that celebrates both heritage and diversity.

The evening promises even more excitement, with a Dandiya and Garba night scheduled for 6:30 pm, followed by a Dhak and Dhunuchi dance competition from 8 pm to 9:30 pm. The festival is also a shopper’s paradise, with over 250 stalls from different countries showcasing a diverse range of products.
