The 23-year-old goalkeeper signed for Valencia in 2022 and was a part of the Valencia B team. He didn’t play a single game for the B team as he was directly promoted to the first team and in the last two campaigns, he has established himself as an integral part of the team. After a good season at Valencia, he was called by the Georgian coach Willy Sagnol to be a part of the Euro 2024 squad. His performances in the group stages have been phenomenal as he showed his class in the match against Czech Republic, producing a man of the match performance making 11 saves in the game to keep the score 1-1. Some of his saves were just astonishing to watch as he made the perfect the perfect use of his reach. The towering goalkeeper carried his wnderful form against the mighty Portugal, frustrating their attackers by not letting them score and kept a remarkable clean sheet.
It was a historic moment for Georgia as they qualified after winning the match 2-0 against Portugal and Mamardashivli made a massive contribution by making some crucial saves to keep the lead for his side. It was a monumental achievement for the Georgian keeper as he kept a clean sheet against a side consisting of quality attacking players who had already scored five combining both of their previous group matches, before coming into the match against Georgia.
