‘Joe Biden is Threat to Democracy’: Donald Trump Takes on His Rival Ahead of 1st Presidential Debate

Atlanta: Ahead of the face-off, which is set to take place during the US Presidential debate tonight, former-US President Donald Trump called President Joe Biden a threat to democracy. Shooting verbal attacks towards Biden through social media, Trump went on to call the US President a threat to the survival and existence of the United States (US). Notably, President Joe Biden and his Republican rival, Donald Trump, will meet for a debate on Thursday, where both the candidates will try to reshape the political narrative in their favour.

In his post on Truth Social, Trump said, “Joe Biden is a threat to democracy, and a threat to the survival and existence of our country itself!!!”

US President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump are set to take on each other at CNN’s US Presidential debate, with the former pointing fingers at his latter’s age and fitness to hold the top post, while Biden has raised questions on Trump being a “threat to democracy.”

War in Gaza, Immigration And Abortion Are Likely to Be Key Issues at Debate

The verbal battle between the two leaders are set to escalate further as the political arm twisting is expected to increase the political heat in the US as the country is set to choose the 47th President of the United States. CNN’s highly anticipated debate in Atlanta will start at 6.30 am according to the Indian time.

Marking a critical moment in the 2024 presidential election, former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden will engage in a historic US presidential debate on Thursday at CNN’s debate in Atlanta as part of the 2024 elections. This debate is unprecedented, marking the first time a sitting president and a former president will debate in US history. Biden, 81, and Trump, 78, will address criticisms and present their contrasting views on key issues in the US, which includes topics such as the war in Gaza, immigration, and abortion.

During the debate, Trump could use the moment to try to move past his felony conviction in New York and convince an audience of tens of millions that he’s temperamentally suited to return to the Oval Office. Whereas, Biden, the Democratic incumbent, gets the chance to reassure voters that, at 81, he’s capable of guiding the US through a range of challenges.

Millions are expected to watch the 90-minute televised debate, the first between a sitting president and a former one, on CNN. It comes earlier than usual before the November 5 presidential elections, with two oldest candidates ever vying for the country’s highest office. A record 84 million had watched Trump’s first debate in 2016 against Hillary Clinton.
