New Delhi: UFC president Dana White announced the main event and co-main event for the UFC 310 pay-per-view in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on December 8, Sunday. The UFC Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad will defend his title against Shavkat Rakhmonov. Belal won the title against Leon Edwards in his hometown and will be defending his title for the first time against an unbeaten fighter.
Rakhmonov is the most dangerous fighter in the Welterweight division, he has an unbeaten record of 18-0 in his MMA career and all the wins have come by finishes. He didn’t go too distance in any of the fights. Meanwhile, Belal went to distance in his every fight.
Rakhmonov defeated Stephen Thompson in his last fight, he submitted Thompson in the second round via rear naked choke. Belal has the greatest win of his career in the last fight by winning the Welterweight gold.
The UFC 310 fight card is promising and might become the card of the year. There are two title fights announced for the UFC 310 pay-per-view. The UFC flyweight title will also be on the line, Japnese fighter is making his debut in UFC 310 and will fight for the title immediately.
UFC 310 co-main event:
UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja will defend his title against Japanese fighter Kai Asakura, who is debuting in UFC and got the title match in his debut match. Pantoja has successfully defended his title twice. Asakura is a two-time Rizin Bantamweight champion. Pantoja defeated Steve Erceg in front of his hometown fans to defend his title via unanimous decision at UFC 301 event.
