New Delhi: Ion Cutelaba defeated Ivan Erslan in the Accor Arena In Paris, France on September 28, Saturday. The Light Heavyweight bout was like a see-saw fight as both fighters gave their best but ultimately Cutelaba registered the win via split decision. Cutelaba planned his things well as he was more patient and took his shots clean.
This was the debut fight for the newcomer Erslan in the UFC and he fought hard but didn’t cross the line. Erslan started things off by landing a kick to the right hand of Cutelaba, to which he responded with a leg kick. Erslan hit a good combination to Cutelaba and tried to clinch him but Cutelaba landed a hook hard. Erslan was trying to knock Cutelaba but every time Cutelaba landed a hard shot and dropped Erslan.
In the second round, Cutelaba was showing his skills as he was throwing leg kicks, punches, and mixed with takedown attempts. Cutelaba was ahead after the two rounds and Erslan’s only way to win the fight was to knock out Cutelaba. Erslan did everything to drop Cutelaba but failed in every attempt and at last Cutelaba won the fight via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28).

Perez dominated the fight and took down Zheleznyakova many times on the ground. She gave an arm-triangle choke to Zheleznyakova in the fight and this was also her first finish in the UFC.
