New Delhi: UFC has finally returned to China for their UFC Macau event on November 24, Sunday. Last time UFC hosted its event in China was way back on August 31, 2019. It will be a Bantamweight showdown for the headline of UFC Macau, No. 3 ranked Peter Yan will take on number 5 ranked Deiveson Figueiredo. Both are in Bantamweight title contention and it will be more off a fight that who will win this fight might get closer to a title shot.
Yan was a former Bantamweight champion and will look to reclaim his title. He broke his three consecutive losses last year by defeating Korean Zombie via unanimous decision. While Figueiredo is on a three-win fight streak after moving from flyweight to the Bantamweight division.
The current champion Merab Dvalishivili thinks that Figueiredo is the most deserving fighter for the title next. If Figueiredo wins this fight he will most probably get the title opportunity. With this big showdown, there are also several big fights announced by Dana White for the UFC Macau card.
The local girl Yan Xiaonan will take on Tabatha Ricci in a women’s strawweight division. It will be the number 2 ranked fighter vs the number 8 ranked fighter. Carlos Ulberg will go head to head against Volkan Oezdemir in a Light Heavyweight division. There are 12 big fights set up for the Macau fight card.
