New Delhi: The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Saudi Arabia with a stunning lineup which is headlined by a main event middleweight fight between former two-time UFC champion New Zealand’s Israel Adesanya and France’s Nassourdine Imavov.
Sean Strickland defeated Adesanya and took the UFC middleweight title away from the New Zealander on September 10, 2023. He lost another chance to regain the title in a fourth-round defeat to UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia on August 14, 2024. On the other side, Imavov is in brilliant form and is coming into Saturday’s fight on a three-fight unbeaten streak with impressive wins against Roman Dolidze, Jared Cannonier and Brendan Allen.
In the co-main event, Russia’s Shara Magomedov will face Michael Page. In the main card, top 10 heavyweights Sergei Pavlovich will take on Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the battle of ranked talents. Muhammad Naimov and Kaan Olfi will open the main card in a fight of featherweight talents and after that lightweights Mike Davis will lock horns against Fares Ziam in the impactful bouts.
