New Delhi: Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, acclaimed young mountaineer Muskan Raghuvanshi for climbing at Australia’s tallest mountain peak – Mount Kosciuszko. As India celebrated its 78th Independence Day on Thursday, Madhya Pradesh’s 23-year-old Muskan hoisted the Indian flag at the peak based in New South Wales.
Wishing the youngster on the achievement, Mr. Scindia took to his X handle (formerly known as Twitter) and mentioned how the Indian daughter added the country’s value in the foreign land before wishing her a bright future.
“Daughter increased the value of the tricolor! Ashoknagar’s daughter Muskan Raghuvanshi has made the whole country proud by hoisting the flag on Australia’s highest mountain Mount Kosciuszko today on India’s 78th Independence Day,” Scindia wrote on his X handle.
“At the age of 23, daughter Muskan has become the youngest mountaineer from Madhya Pradesh to climb this mountain. Many best wishes and congratulations to the daughter for this amazing success. Hope you achieve new successes like this,” he added.

According to National Geographic, Mount Kosciuszko sometimes included as one of the Seven Summits, which are the highest mountain peaks on each of the seven continents. The peak is at 2,228 metres (7,310 feet tall) and located in New South Wales, which is the southeastern part of Australia. The mountain peak is named by Paul Strzelecki (an explorer from Poland) after Tadeusz Kosciuszko (Poland’s national hero).
How Jyotiraditya Scindia supported Muskan Raghuvanshi
According to a report from Agniban.com, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia played a key role in mountaineer Muskan Raghuvanshi’s journey to Mount Kosciuszko. With the reference of Scindia, who has roots from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Muskan received help from Rabindranath Tagore University in Bhopal.
The 23-year-old was felicitated by Ashoknagar district collector Subhash Kumar Dwivedi before her departure to Australia. Muskan has dreams of opening an academy at the district headquarters where she wants to help girls train with cycling and other sports.
