Divyang-friendly and green footprint
The Vande Bharat Express has Divyang-friendly facilities. Also, keeping in mind the green footprints, there is a regenerative braking system in the coaches of the train which can save up to 30 per cent of electrical energy. To create a dust-free environment, there are fully sealed gangways and censored interconnecting doors.

On September 30, 2022, Vande Bharat 2.0 was flagged off and it is equipped with a range of advanced features over its predecessor. The advancements in this new avatar include the following:
KAVACH and safety
The Vande Bharat 2.0 trains have the KAVACH (Train Collision Avoidance System) which has increased the safety of the trains. Every coach has four emergency windows and there are four platform side cameras including rear view cameras. Moreover, the train has aerosol-based fire detection and suppression system. In case of electric failure, there are four emergency lighting in every coach.
Improved amenities
The coaches have 32-inch LCD TVs along with a passenger information and communication system. All coaches have side recliner seating facility and bio vacuum toilets with touch-free amenities. There are Ultra Violet (UV) lamp in the coaches for a germ-free supply of air. Also, the trains have better ventilation for traction motor for better reliability.
