Ottawa: After a violent attack on a Hindu temple in Brampton, a video is gaining traction on social media that appears to show Canadian police violently thrashing devotees protesting against the Khalistani attack.
A user by the name of Daniel Bordman shared the clip on his social media handle, alleging that the RCMP targeted Hindu worshippers punching them in the head and beating them with batons.
“The RCMP start attacking Hindu worshippers on their own temple grounds in Surrey BC. Watch as an RCMP officer goes into the crowd to go after Hindu devotees after pushing them back to protect the Khalistanis who came to harass the temple goers on Diwali . Punching Hindus in the head and beating them with batons caught on video,” the caption of the video read.
Meanwhile, another user by the name Mini shared a video of the Canadian police arresting the Hindu devotees. the caption of the tweet reading, “ Why are Hindus being arrested by the Canadian police when they are the victims here!? A Systemic discrimination against Hindus in Canada! #Surrey #Canada”
This attack on the Hindu Sabha temple has drawn strong condemnation from Canadian politicians, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, opposition leader Pierre Poilievre and MPs Kevin Vuong and Chandra Arya.
