New Delhi: The craze of Thalapathy Vijay starrer The GOAT (The Greatest of All Time) has gone over the roof since the news of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s special appearance in the movie started doing the rounds. The GOAT was released in theatres on September 5, Thursday amid much fanfare and celebrations. Thousands of fans flooded the theatres across the nation to watch the movie.
Reactions started pouring on social media with some fans calling it Vijay’s best movie since Master. Some fans also praised the climax of the film. But the most noteworthy reaction came on the special appearance of legendary Indian cricketer Dhoni, who played a cameo in the movie.
The former India captain is revered like a god in Tamil Nadu due to his long association with Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings. He is also referred to as the “adopted son” by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.
In The GOAT movie, Dhoni appears in an IPL match scene, walking down the stairs before entering the stadium as fans go wild after watching their favourite superstar.
The scene also includes Vijay, who also makes a blockbuster entry on a bike.
Fans couldn’t keep calm after watching both the ‘Thalas’ on the big screen.
