VIDEO: Re-live the best moments from PM Modi’s interaction with Paralympic heroes

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spent some great time interacting with the Indian Paralympic contingent after  the tremendous success in Paris earlier this month. The PM showered praise on all the medal winners and uplifted the morale of the ones who didn’t finish on the podium or missed in a close contest.

During the interaction at his official residence in New Delhi, the PM allowed many para athletes to share their experience at the 19th edition of the Paralympics. He had some special moments with armless para archer Sheetal Devi, who signed the Indian shirt for him with her legs, and para athlete Navdeep Singh, who was born as a dwarf, presented the PM his cap.

The complete interaction between PM Modi and the para athletes was published on the official YouTube channel of ‘Narendra Modi’.

“All of you have not only won medals, but have also changed the mindset…Nowadays, medals at the Games and everything has a lot of importance and are indeed counted. But being a country with a population of 140 crores, we go to the Games not just to play but to win,” PM Modi said.

” ‘I am not a participant but a performer’ – This mindset turns into a strength of a country, and you have brought a new flair in that strength. Congratulations on your achievements and I am really happy to see your mood,” PM Modi added.
