New Delhi: Virat Kohli was in a jolly mood despite rain playing spoilsport during Day 1 of the ongoing third Test between India and Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane. The former India skipper, who is known for his playful nature and lively character, was seen poking fun at his former India teammate Harbhajan Singh over his white attire by pulling off some hilarious moves from a famous Bollywood song.
The incident happened ahead of the start of the day’s play at the Gabba when Kohli was warming up with the Indian team and Harbhajan was on the ground for his commentary duties. Harbhajan’s white outfit which had a tint of pink caught the attention of Kohli. The former India spinner’s look was quite similar to that of Bollywood actor Jeetendra and sparked a hilarious reaction from Kohli.
The star batter started performing the dance steps from the famous song ‘Naino Mein Sapna’ from Jitendra’s movie Himmatwala to roast Harbhajan and tease the former India spinner. The duo also laughed over Harbhajan’s white outfit and Kohli’s reaction to it. A video of their interaction was shared by Star Sports on their social media handles.

In the video, Harbhajan opened up on the incident and revealed the reason behind Kohli’s dance moves which went viral. Harbhajan admitted his complete white outfit resembled Jeetendra’s iconic look from the movie from afar which prompted Kohli to tease the former spinner.
Today I was wearing a light pink and white jacket, which from a distance looked all-white. Then Virat Kohli said, ‘Aithe Jitendra aagya aa’ (Has Jeetendra come here?). He started humming Naino Mein Sapna from far behind,”Harbhajan said on Star Sports.
“Then he began showing dance moves, which I couldn’t understand at first. He couldn’t stop himself and came closer to me to show the full dance steps. I jokingly thought I had made a mistake by wearing this outfit. If I had worn those white leather boots too, I would have completely resembled Jeetu ji,” he added.
Rain plays spoilsport on Day 1 of 3rd Test
Rain played spoilsport on Day 1 of the third Test between India and Australia at the Gabba as only 13.2 overs of action was possible. Australian openers got the hosts off to a good start as Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney scored 28 runs without giving India a wicket. The Indian pacers made a good start on Day 2 of the Test match on Sunday as Jasprit Bumrah removed Usman Khawaja early on 21 before sending McSweeny packing on 9.
