New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Virat Kohli reunited with Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Mohammed Siraj ahead of the clash between the two sides in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Siraj was part of the RCB squad for seven seasons from 2018 to 2024 before getting released by the franchise last year. He was picked up by the Titans in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Siraj rose to prominence during his stint with RCB and became a force to reckon with in the IPL. He also earned his maiden India cap after impressing for the franchise and remains a vital cog in India’s pace attack across formats. Siraj was seen catching up with Kohli as he returned to Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for training ahead of his side’s clash against RCB.
In a video shared by RCB on social media, Kohli was seen hugging Siraj before having a chat with the pacer as the duo reunited at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The video of the duo’s reunion left RCB fans nostalgic as they gushed over their bond.

Siraj was bought for a huge sum of Rs 12.25 crore after being released by RCB ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-auction last year. While many expected RCB to retain the Indian pacer, he was let go by the franchise, who retained uncapped left-arm pacer Yash Dayal. Siraj played 87 matches for RCB in seven seasons and picked up 83 wickets to become their third-highest wicket-taker of all time.
Mohammed Siraj shines for Gujarat Titans
Siraj headed into IPL 2025 with a point to prove after being snubbed from India’s squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 and did well for Gujarat Titans in their last game against Mumbai Indians. Siraj picked up the important wickets of MI openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton with the new ball to finish with figures of 2/34 off his 4 overs and help GT win the game by 36 runs to open their account in the season.
