New Delhi: In a grand final Argentina beat the unbeaten Colombia to clinch the Copa America 2024. The defending champions won the match 1-0 with the solitary goal scored by Lautaro Martinez in the extra time.
After a fantastic campaign that saw Argentina win all their six matches, they won their 16th Copa America title. While Colombia fell to their third defeat in the final of Copa America.
As the match concluded several awards were handed to the players. Here is the complete list of award winners of Copa America 2024.

While scoring a goal is regarded as one of the most difficult tasks but scoring one under pressure requires a lot of courage. And Lautaro Martinez has proved that multiple times in the tournament. He clinched the Golden Boot award, coming out on top with domination in what was a fiercely contested race to lead the scoring charts with five goals. One of which came in the all-important final clash against Colombia.
While Martinez was the leading runner to scoop the award, Julian Alvarez, Luis Diaz, and Jhon Cordoba were all still in contention heading into the finals.

Colombian skipper James Rodriguez was awarded the Best Player award at the Copa America 2024 despite his team losing in the final. Rodriguez orchestrated Colombia’s attacks with an unmatched vision rewriting the record books with a staggering six assists – the highest number ever recorded by a player in a single Copa America edition surpassing the previous record of five assists held by Argentinian legend Lionel Messi.

Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez continued his reign as a world-class goalkeeper putting on another stellar performance in the Copa America 2024. He secured an impressive five clean sheets in six matches proving to be a crucial asset for the Argentine defense.
He was a crucial asset for the Argentine side in the penalty win over Ecuador. Martinez was always a commanding figure as the last resort of Los Albicelestes’ defence. This well-deserved recognition marks Martinez’s second Golden Glove award in the Copa America.
