Mumbai: Waaree Energies shares got listed on BSE and NSE on October 25, 2024. Waaree Energies shares got listed at 70 percent premium at Rs 2,550 on the BSE, and at Rs 2500 on the NSE.
The eligible investors and other stock market enthusiasts were eagerly waiting for the listing of the shares of the solar panel manufacturing company which took place today. The market players were eagerly waiting as the Waaree Energies shares were creating a huge buzz in the grey market.
As per investorgain.com, the Waaree Energies Ltd IPO GMP was around 84 per cent which indicated that the shares were likely to be listed at Rs 2778 per equity share. It may be noted that the grey market price dropped in the last few days, it was over 95 per cent till the time allotment was finalised. Waaree Energies IPO price band was set at Rs 1427 to Rs 1503 per share.

The Solar panel maker mobilised Rs 1,277 crore from anchor investors. The list of anchor investors are as follows: National Pension Service (Managed by BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, NA), Bandhan MF, HDFC Mutual Fund (MF), Morgan Stanley, The Prudential Assurance Company, Goldman Sachs, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, ICICI Prudential MF, Canara Robeco MF, Tata MF and others.
The BSE website mentioned that Waaree Energies allotted 84.96 lakh equity shares to 92 funds at RS 1,503 apiece. Waaree Energies IPO, a book built issue of Rs 4,321.44 crore, was a combination of fresh issue of 2.4 crore shares. The IPO opened for subscription on October 21, 2024 and ended on 23rd October.
The initial public offer of solar panel maker Waaree Energies Ltd received a huge subscription. The Waaree Energies IPO recorded 76.34 times subscription on the final day of share sale on 23rd October. The NSE data revealed that the Rs 4,321.44 crore initial share sale received bids for 1,60,91,61,741 shares while 2,10,79,384 were up for offer.
Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) category received 208.63 times subscription.
Non-institutional investors category registered 62.48 times subscription.
Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) portion got 10.79 times subscription.
