New Delhi: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and tennis icon Roger Federer caught up with each other during the ongoing Wimbledon 2024 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Saturday.
Both legends met after watching their respective matches on the sixth day of Wimbledon. Sachin was a guest in the Royal Box along with his wife Anjali Tendulkar. He attended the Wimbledon third-round match between Alexander Zverev and Cameron Norrie. While Federer, attended the third round match between Ben Shelton and Denis Shapovalov.
The World Cup champion later posed with eight-time Wimbledon winner and posted a photo on his official X account. He wrote “I had mixed feelings while meeting Roger Federer at Wimbledon yesterday. If someone asked if I wanted to see him play that day, I’d definitely say, ‘Roger that!’ But having a conversation with him was also equally wonderful”.

Tendulkar is known as the greatest batter of all time and has attended Wimbledon quiet a few times and a big supporter of Federer who won 20 Grand Slams during his illustrious career. Both legends have met many time in past and have exchanged compliments on social media.
Tendulkar received warm welcome
The Indian legend received a grand welcome from the Centre Court crowd when the announcer introduced him and Tendulkar acknowledged the crowd with a smile. Three England cricketers Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Jos Buttler were also in attendance in Royal Box and they also received a warm welcome from the crowd. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was also present among the VIP guests in Royal box.
